Cookie policy

This Policy sets out which cookies are used on don8play.ru, why and for how long they are kept, and how a data subject can withdraw consent under Article 9 of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”. The site is intended for persons aged 18 and over.

This is an English translation for information. If it differs from the Russian original, the Russian text applies.

1. Legal basis for using cookies

Cookies that the Site needs in order to work are used on the basis of Article 6(1)(5) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ (necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party), without separate consent.

Analytics and marketing cookies are used on the basis of the data subject’s consent (Article 9 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ), given by continuing to use the Site. The data subject may withdraw consent in the ways described in section 4 of this Policy; doing so does not restrict access to the Site’s main content.

2. Categories of cookies

Strictly necessary

They provide basic navigation, protection against CSRF attacks and the correct display of the don8play.ru interface. Without them the Site cannot work.

  • Examples: server session cookies, CSRF tokens.
  • Lifetime: the session (deleted when you close the browser).
  • Legal basis: Article 6(1)(5) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ; no consent is required.
Essential

Performance (analytics)

Used to measure the audience and analyse how users behave. The data is used only to improve our editorial content.

  • _ym_uid: a unique Yandex Metrica visitor ID. Lifetime: 24 months.
  • _ym_d: the date of the first visit recorded by Yandex Metrica. Lifetime: 24 months.
  • _ga: a unique Google Analytics visitor ID. Lifetime: 24 months.
  • _gid: a Google Analytics session ID. Lifetime: 24 hours.
Performance

Marketing (affiliate)

They record clicks on affiliate links so that commission is credited correctly. Click data is not linked to the user’s identity.

  • Examples: referral tracking cookies of affiliate networks (set by the partner operator, not on don8play.ru).
  • Lifetime: up to 30 days (depending on the terms of the affiliate programme).
  • Legal basis: Article 6(1)(7) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ (legitimate interest) and the data subject’s consent (Article 9 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ).

3. Third parties: operators of analytics services

  • Yandex LLC (Yandex Metrica) receives the cookie IDs _ym_uid and _ym_d and a truncated IP address. Processing follows Yandex’s privacy policy: yandex.ru/legal/confidential/. Its servers are located in Russia.
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics) receives the cookie IDs _ga and _gid and a truncated IP address. Processing follows Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Data may be transferred to servers in the USA (cross-border transfer: see the Privacy policy, section 6).

4. Withdrawing consent and managing cookies

The data subject may withdraw consent to analytics and marketing cookies in three ways:

  • Browser settings: block or delete cookies for don8play.ru in the privacy settings.
  • Developer tools (DevTools): the Application tab → Cookies → select don8play.ru → delete the entries you want.
  • A letter to the operator: send a request to support@don8play.ru with the subject “Withdrawal of consent to cookies”. The operator handles requests within 10 working days (Article 20 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ).

Instructions for specific browsers:

Turning off analytics cookies does not restrict access to the Site’s editorial content. Turning off strictly necessary cookies may break the display of the interface.

5. Changes to this Policy

The operator may change this Policy when the law or the Site’s technical infrastructure changes. The current version is published at https://www.don8play.ru/cookie-policy/ (in Russian) with its version number and date. For more on how personal data is processed, see the Privacy policy.
